Laudari Family - Camp Fire Victims

Donation protected
Please help my Auntie Cindy and Uncle Sam in their horrible time of need.  The Camp Fire in Northern California has cost people their lives, and while we are relieved to say that Cindy, Sam and the rest of their family were able to make it off the mountain in time to save themselves, their homes and pets weren’t as fortunate.  They were forced to leave with nothing but the clothes on their backs and while grateful, they are left with nothing. Any help you can give will be received with love and very thankful hearts.

Back Story on the Property: The property on Dion Rd has been in my family for almost 40 years.  My grandpa, Bob Sutton lived there in a mobile home on the mountain from 1980 until he was moved to a nursing home in Paradise a few years back.  My Auntie Cindy and Uncle Sam purchased the adjacent property and packed up their home in Hercules in 2005 to move up there, close to my Pop.  Her 3 sons followed and now they have an 8-month-old grand baby.  My Uncle Vern (her brother) and his 2 sons who suffer from Huntington’s Disease also moved up there in 2013.  Almost every childhood vacation memory of mine and my cousins is up on that mountain at my family’s property, from Dark Canyon to Nelson Bar to Big Bend, the power plant camping trips, the dirt bikes, catching crawdads at Jordan Creek, the forts, the horses, watching my cousins jump off the bridge, playing cards, I could go on and on. They all truly love mountain living and whenever my aunt would text me, she always signed it “From the beautiful mountains of Northern California”

A Year of Crushing Loss: In March of 2017, Cindy’s dad, my Pop, passed away.  In August 2017, Cindy’s mom, my grandmother, suffered a brain tumor and has steadily declined and is now in a nursing home long term.  My Uncle Vern, whose two sons were forced into nursing homes due to their decline, was fixing up Pop’s house to move into it when he suddenly and unexpectedly had a massive heart attack and died at age 57 in his home on January 2nd of this year.  All of his belongings were moved up to my Pop’s house after he passed for safe keeping, and his cremated remains joined my Pop’s up at the property. Last month, Cindy’s nephew, my cousin Danny, passed away from HD at his nursing home and only a couple weeks ago his ashes joined those of his dad and grandpa’s.  Now they’re ALL GONE, their remains forever embedded on the mountain they loved so much..

Please join me in lifting them up not only in prayer which is extremely important but also financially as the road ahead is daunting.  Thanks, from everyone in my Sutton family.
