Latvian hockey girl to Minnesota

Hello, my name is Agnese Apsite and I am a hockey player from Latvia. I am 16 years old and I am in the 10th grade. During the winter I play for a women’s club hockey team called “Laima”, but I also play on the Latvian Women’s National Team. I began playing hockey at a young age and I would like to continue developing my skills to reach my greatest potential.
In Latvia, women’s hockey is not very popular and development opportunities are few and far between. In order to get to the next level, I believe I need to get hockey training experience outside of Latvia.
This summer I have an opportunity to go to Minnesota in the United States to get extra hockey training!
This opportunity would allow me to get to know hockey in another part of the world, train at a higher level and meet other players my age. The summer abroad would also allow me to participate in a hockey tournament where college coaches are present to recruit. My goal after I finish high school is to play hockey at the highest level possible, and for this I believe I need internationalexperience.
I have options to live with an American family and train daily in hockey. What I need is $1600 funds for a plane ticket to the US and coverage of daily incidentals.
I would be incredibly grateful for any help.

Hokeju sāku spēlēt jau agrā bērnībā un vēlos, lai tas nepaliktu tikai hobija līmenī. Latvijā sieviešu hokejs diemžēl nav tik populārs, lai ar to varētu nodarboties augstā līmenī.
Šogad vasarā man ir iespēja braukt uz Ameriku, lai uzlabotu savas prasmes uz ledus. Šī iespēja man ļaus iepazīt Amerikas hokeja dzīvi un pacelt savas hokeja prasmes augstākā līmenī. Vasaras laikā būs iespēja piedalīties arī hokeja turnīros, kurus vēros augstskolu treneri. Mans mērķis ir pēc pāris gadiem spēlēt hokeju un mācīties Amerikā, tāpēc jau tagad cenšos izmantot katru iespēju, lai tas īstenotos.
Tā kā tur varēšu dzīvot ģimenē, kas atbalsta hokejistus un dara to ar prieku, tad vienīgie izdevumi $1600 ir ceļam uz Ameriku.
