Support OP Skate Park!

Hi,
I'm Anjie Palmer or Ms. Anjie to the kids that love to skate at OP Skate Park.

My daughter, Courtney

and I found O.P. Park in 2004.  It had been closed for 3 years.
The park is owned by the Town of Orange Park http://www.townoforangepark.com/departments/economic-community-development/parks-recreation/parks/skateboard-place-park/ and asked if we could reopen the park.  They provided materials, we rounded up volunteers and  from Jan 2005-June 2006 worked to rebuild the park.  We opened in June 2006 with all plywood surfaces.  The Town hired me to operate the park.  In 2007 the town was awarded a $500K FRDAP grant and in 2010 the new park opened.

https://www.facebook.com/O.P.SkatePark Team Pain built the new obstacles and we were stoked!  But then the economy happened and the town cut out hours so a nonprofit was formed, an agreement with the town was signed and now OP is open Tues-Sun!   Lessons, workshops and camps are offered and  contests are held every 3-4 months.  Funds raised will be used for promotioning the park, staff and opening a skateboard shop.  From 15-40 skateboarders use the facility on weekdays and from 25-60 on weekends.  The park is free.  Helmet and waiver required.  Please donate today!  For more information, go to the Town's website and visit our facebook page.  This park has meant so much to so many kids over the years.  We are located in a low income area and it is a need in the community.  Help us help the park!
