Dor Hadash Fundraiser for Las Americas
Tax deductible
Please join Congregation Dor Hadash in Pittsburgh in honoring the spirit of giving that is part of our holiday tradition and support our fund drive for Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center, in El Paso, Texas. They provide legal assistance to immigrant crime victims, those with deportation orders, asylum seekers and also general immigration legal assistance and work on both sides of the border. They are supporting the survivors of the Walmart shooting with immigration legal services. HIAS is a close partner of Las Americas, and as part of their comprehensive border response, has placed staff members within Las Americas Immigrant Advocacy Center to help increase capacity for legal services for people seeking asylum.
Our contributions will be a meaningful way during the High Holidays that we can respond to a community experiencing a tragedy that our Pittsburgh community knows so well, and support a HIAS partner in life saving work with vulnerable people at the Texas border.
