As many of you already know, Larry Brom, designer of the miniature game rules, The Sword and The Flame, fell and broke his femur in April 2014. He was in the hospital and at rehab until August 2014 when he came home. Dad had 8 weeks of in-home rehab and was doing great when he suffered a spinal compression fracture in October 2014. It was back into rehab where he remains.
This has been hard on all of us, especially for Dad at 84 years of age. Christy and I have been navigating the ins and outs of Medicare and the Veterans Administration as we try to find solutions. At this point, we want him home and receiving treatment here as we further explore the VA system. Dad has always insisted upon being among veterans when the time comes that we can't safely look after him with us.
So we're asking his many friends and gamers, world-wide, to help us right now. We want what's best for Dad and the past few months have been rough; he only shows real interest in anything related to miniature gaming. We ask for your help and support so we can thank the man who gave us TSATF and many, many hours of enjoyment! "Good job, Bugler."
