Recently Larry contacted Oklahoma City 911 reference a police matter, during his conversation with the dispatcher a rapport was developed. The dispatcher learned that Larry and his wife, Anita, were having a hard time due to the recent loss of their only son, Errol 32. The dispatcher, Adam, asked if he could bring Larry Christmas dinner, however Larry asked that he not bring too much food because they do not have a fridge for left overs. Adam sent out emails to his coworkers asking if anyone had an extra fridge to donate, within minutes a fridge was donated and several people offered monetary donations.
On Christmas Eve several Oklahoma City Police civilian employees delivered a fridge, Christmas dinner, groceries, and over $500 cash. A few days later Adam took Anita shopping at Walmart and decided that Larry and Anita would need more assistance later and continued care. We decided to make a gofundme account to help collect donations.
A high goal was set in hopes of raising enough money for a small car, money for medical expenses and bill assistance. Larry is unable to work due to health issues, and his wife, Anita 56, walks to work everyday at a laundry service.
