Larry Fredricksen Scholarship

Our Highlander basketball  program lost a loyal  fan and true friend this year in Larry Fredricksen. Larry was a Highlander basketball dad in the eighties and a current Highlander grandfather in basketball and other sports and activities.  Through thick and thin, rain, snow and heat, Larry would be at our games, cheering (and more) for his beloved Highlanders.  When he would walk into the gym, things felt right. His loyalty never wavered. In his memory and to honor  his true Highlander Spirit, we would like to create a memorial scholarship to award to an athlete that embodies those qualities on and off the court- Highlander spirit, loyalty and dedication.  The number of recipients  will be driven by the response and we hope to expand this next year to other sports, but given the time constraint, we begin at the beginning: basketball.
