On May 28th we lost our beloved, Larry Farmer, friend, husband, father, brother and son. His sudden passing has left a tremendous void in our hearts. To those who were lucky enough to know him, he can certainly be described as generous, outgoing, compassionate, a leader in his community, joyful, genuine, hard-working and humble. Larry was the life of the party and captivated everyone with his infectious smile. He had a way of connecting with people from all walks of life and made everyone feel as though they were life-long friends. Most recently, Larry was recognized for his service to the people of Los Angeles and surrounding communities for his work as a photojournalist for Fox 11 News. His work ethic and devotion to all those he served in his professional and personal life were beyond measure. He indeed wore many hats!
Recently, Larry had heart surgery to replace a leaking valve. Our hope for his recovery turned to sorrow days later when he unexpectedly passed away. He leaves behind his beloved wife Estella and son Jaden, who was his pride and joy. It is now our turn to follow Larry’s lead and mirror the compassion and selflessness he had for others as we help Estella in this difficult time. For those of you who may not know, Larry was born and raised in North Carolina where his parents and extended family still live. To honor his family’s request, Larry will be going back home and laid to rest there. Those cost, in addition to the funeral, the amounting hospital bills, and his family’s travel expenses will amount to 40,000 dollars. We have created this account on behalf of Estella to help her through this difficult time and make things a little easier for her. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your donations.
