Laparra's Earthquake Relief

On 9/19/17 the 7.1 earthquake in Mexico devastated many lives and the extent of the damage is barely unfolding. I have to say I'm grateful that my family and friends are unharmed but my family is going through something unfortunate that requires YOUR help. ANY help. My aunt, Leonor Laparra, has an  apartment in a building that is severely cracked and fractured and is physically inclined into another building by which it's holding itself up. She hasn't been able to habit her home since the earthquake and today, she was forced to leave the building until they determine if the building is salvageable (expensive to do construction to reinforce the whole building) or if it will be demolished for good. They allowed her with the help of my dad and other family members to enter in to grab as much as they could fit in their cars and evacuate the area. This is the home that watched my cousins, my brother and I grow up. This is the home we spent countless Christmas eves, family get together's, birthdays, etc. This was everyone's home when we needed a place to stay, even if it was for one night. The true tragedy lies in that my aunt did not have insurance to cover what has happened so she is facing the fact that her "home" is now a compilation of things she can fit in a few car trunks. I feel so powerless being so far away (San Diego CA) and I wish I could give her her home back. I do know however, that our dollars are almost double their worth in Mexico. If everyone that reads this can spare even a dollar, we can help her get back on her feet. She has a lot of expenses coming her way and these donations will be allocated towards the emergency living arrangements, the re-construction  and re-location of her home. All her expenses have to come out of pocket due to lack of insurance. These costs ADD UP!! Please consider extending out a helping hand and donating to this cause. Once we hit our donation goal I plan to withdraw the funds and send them via PayPal to my aunt immediately so she can start on the rebuilding phase of this tragedy as soon as possible.
