Lyme Disease treatments
Donation protected
Hello, two of my daughters, aged 16 and 14, have both been diagnosed with M.E and have been ill since 2014. Thanks to funds already raised they have been tested in two separate leading laboratories, both of which have confirmed Chronic Lyme Disease and various co-infections. They have had some initial treatments but with limited success, so much more treatment is needed. It can take years to find (and fund) the treatment that works best for each person. Unfortunately it is impossible to access treatment on the NHS for 'chronic Lyme Disease' as current N.I.C.E guidelines do not recognise chronic infection..thousands like my girls are left with no treatment, many more are misdiagnosed with other conditions.
My eldest daughter and me, are going to climb Mount Snowden in 2019 to help raise both awareness and funds, in order to continue much needed treatment. Anything you can contribute would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.
Sarah.
