In September of 2015 as a response to the refugee crisis in Germany we started to develop a tailor-made cloud platform for refugee volunteers to coordinate their daily tasks and needed donations. The project LALE.HELP was born.
We have founded a social business and are spending our seed money to pay for professional programmers, marketing and support for our customers, the volunteers.
In order to add much desired software features (see Github open source), upgrade our hosting plans on Heroku/Salesforce and offering the best possible support to our users, we need to attract additional funds. Unfortunately, software startups cannot be granted non-profit status in Germany, so we cannot fundraise in a traditional way. But gofundme can help!
Our dream is to establish Lale.help as the primary tool for volunteer organization, attract many more helpers to meet the new citizens and start the see of integration in this process. Also, we hope to hire refugees as Lale employees as soon as we can for any suitable role!
