Lakeland 100(Mile) Ultra Marathon
Tax deductible
The Event
I am undertaking the challenge of a lifetime to help raise awareness of autism and some money along the way for the National Autistic Society. In July 2019, I will be running 100 miles within 40 hours through The Lake District. To make the task even more difficult, I have to navigate myself using a map and reach checkpoints throughout the course, within allotted times. There is only a 50% success rate amongst competitors. Please see the link below for more details:

As you can imagine, the training for an event of this great magnitude is going to be horrendous. Knowing that people are understanding more about autism will mean the world to me and/or donating will keep me motivated to push on through the miles.
What is Autism?
Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects how people perceive the world and interact with others.
Autistic people see, hear and feel the world differently to other people. Recently my little boy was diagnosed with autism at the age of 4.
The National Autistic Society provided us with much needed support with understanding William’s diagnosis and how best to help him going forward and we can support him.

There is no cure for autism, so my aim is to not only raise some money to support this fantastic charity, but to raise awareness of what autism is, how you can help and push the message to businesses to make subtle adaptations that could make a huge difference to someone with autism.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story
