Lake Tahoe Wolf Rescue - http://www.LakeTahoeWolfRescue.com/ - Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome wolfdogs and northern-breed dogs. Many will be dumped at shelters by their owners if we don't meet their deadlines to find a new home. Others are in our Foster Homes and need spay/neuter and veterinary care before placement. Some are ready to go but need transport help which can be expensive! And all need homes! We constantly have successful adoptions, but new dogs are always being surrendered and need our help.

Here are just a few that could use your help ...

We rescued 3 PUPPIES from the Kerman shelter that were found trapped in a pit. They are all shy and scared and will need medical exams, shots and lots of TLC.

Shoneah is a puppy that we saved with her siblings from a shelter, after they were confiscated from a bad situation. Her sisters have all found homes, but 11-month-old Shoneah is still waiting for hers. She will be spayed soon, and we will need funds for that too.

Majestic Matsi has been in foster waiting for her forever home for more than a year! Animal Control found her in the back of a pickup truck in the hot sun, with her 11 puppies only days old and their eyes still closed — and with an older puppy girl from her previous litter. Three puppies died, and Lake Tahoe Wolf Rescue got the rest out. All the puppies have been placed, but this 4-year-old spayed mama (of at least 2 litters) is still seeking her happily ever after.

Our Goal: We are very picky about where our rescues go and have stringent requirements for adoption - An Adoption Application, Interview and a Home Check for every potential adopter - so it often takes a while to find the right match. Some of the dogs in our Adoption Program come from their original homes who love them but cannot keep them any longer, while others are from really nasty situations or high-kill shelters. Scared, untrained, injured, filthy, skinny and not very adoptable at first, they often need medical attention, grooming, spay/neuter, boarding, or to be put in one of our Foster Homes for rehabilitation and training. Veterinary and transportation bills are unrelenting.

Because we are a small organization, LTWR does not get the big donations that the larger groups do. If you would like to help animals get out of dire situations of abuse and neglect and into good homes, you can help by donating here at our Go Fund Me, or on our website PayPal. 100% of the funds raised will go to the rescues since we are all volunteers.

We also need your continuing help on a regular basis, so please remember us with an automatic monthly donation to keep the process going. Lake Tahoe Wolf Rescue has been in operation since 1995 and has a high success rate of adoption, but we can't do this without you!
