LAKE COUNTY HONOR FLIGHT 2019

Hey everyone!! I have some excited news!! I have the opportunity to be a guardian for the Lake County Honor flight 2019!!   I will be traveling to Washington D.C. with a WW II veteran so they may experience all of the memorials and locations honoring their service.  This program gives these men and women a chance that they may not have other wise.   In order for me to be able to attend this great event I need to raise $1,100 by September 7,  2019,   for the honor flight program. They use these funds to cover all kinds of things for veterans, clothing, toiletries, food, miscellaneous expenses during the honor flight trip, flight costs etc.

On my trip, I will be representing The Berwyn Fire Department union, Local 506 and they have already contributed 250$ along with the members donating 10$ each to my cause.  Any money raised will go directly to Lake County Honor Flight.  I am proud to be a veteran and proud to be a Berwyn Fireman knowing that my union supports our troops no matter when the served.  

   I have always wanted the chance to do this and now, with your help I can!!! My Grandfather served in WWII and I wish I would have had the opportunity to do this with him, I know he would be proud of me for participating and he'd love to hear the stories from his comrades! Being an OEF veteran myself this is an amazing opportunity for me to give back to the men and women that paved the way for us!!
