After three years of working at BLU, the floor at work was not secure and I fell through as an experienced home finisher.   It’s been a year since my last surgery and now my life has fell through the cracks of the legal system.
Since surgery and a year of recovery, I have been waiting for the next surgery approval from workers compensation. I have now been failed by a claims file that is not supporting workers but only supporting big businesses.  Urgently, I am faced with the threat of losing my house.    I need all friends and community members to help me raise $3,000 to save my home.

While I am in  this delayed legal battle between decision makers that should just pay the compensation due me according to medical doctors and lawyers, I am trying to keep my head above water.   There is a snowball effect created to prolong payment due me, that is a well known scare tactic from companies, like this one, to discourage a legal battle in court.  We had no workers union which leaves the courts open to make deals with the company rather than doing what is right and what is just.

The work accident has left me 80% functional in my right shoulder after rehab and waiting for surgery for the left shoulder. My 35 years as a veteran construction worker is now jeopardizing my possible disability claim as well.    This workers comp battle now has cut off my money leaving me struggling to survive without my income.   At this very moment, the banks are sending letters about the payments on my house. I am in dire need to pay the remaining balance on my mortgage while waiting for my disability determination which can take months and while waiting for my January court date to settle this with my former employer.

Everyone knows someone that is homeless I ask for the community to help me so that I won’t be in the streets myself.

Simply!  I fell through a hole at work and got hurt. Workers compensation stepped in and then stopped out.  Now that they are not wanting to continue all the doctor’s prescribed physical surgery I am at the disposal of this court battle.   Can  you say that MY life matters?
