Hello!
We are the parents from Lafayette Elementary School in Seattle, Washington and want to make sure every student in our vibrant community has an outstanding educational experience. We have 391 students at our school and 20% receive free or reduced lunch.
Unfortunately, the Washington State Legislature’s failure to adequately address public education funding resulted in a significant budget shortfall for our school this year.
Our Parent Teacher Association is working to close as many gaps as possible to make sure our students get the most out of their education. We are hoping to raise the following funds for the rest of the 2017-2018 school year:
· $2,400 – to support instrumental music for our students in grades 4 and 5
· $1,250 – to offset the cost of basic school supplies like pencils, notebooks and art supplies
· $400 – to purchase eight tablets for low-income students to take home and use for digital math and reading assignments
Every donation will let our students know that someone cares, appreciates our efforts, and believes that we deserve and opportunity to continue to meet our many goals. Thank you for taking the time to read about our amazing school. We appreciate your support.
