Hudson's Tumor Surgery

Donation protected
We rescued Hudson from the Montville Animal Control on Dec 31st, 2013. He was overweight, wracked with arthritis in his legs, had terrible dandruf and had several lick granuloma's on his front legs. In the year that we've had him, he has improved beyond our wildest dreams. He's lost over 20 pounds. His legs no longer bother him (he still has arthritis, but with his weight loss, it's a non-issue for him for now), his coat is now soft and shiney with very little dandruf and his lick granuloma's have all but disappeared. He's happy and healthy...mostly.

A couple months ago, we discovered a large mass on the front edge of his right ear near where his ear meets his head. We thought it was some kind of cyst and thought to ask the vet at his yearly check-up in just a couple months. Well...at his physical, the vet took a sample of it thinking the same thing we did. He was surprised to learn it was actually a mast cell tumor. Our doggie has cancer. The doctor is confident that with quick removal all will be well, but he does insist it comes out now not later.

We just got the estimate and were shocked at the price tag. All told the procedure will cost us at least $2300.00 with the potential for more. That's a lot of money to shell out at once so I am asking for a little help. If you could help out with a small amount, hopefully it will add up and help with these costs.

Thank you for any help you can give. (btw...I feel really weird asking for help, but we simply don't know where to turn at this point)
