Hello there
My name is Melody and I am raising money to go to Uganda to help a small village. As a recent Occupational Therapy Assistant practitioner, I hope to volunteer my services over the years wherever needed in Africa (particularly pediatrics but I love working with all ages- I currently work in a nursing home).The total cost of the trip is around $3200 and I have saved and received some donations, hoping to raise the last half of the amount. "In 2010 Lifepoint Church began a partnership with Sports Outreach Institute (SOI) and began supporting Lagutu Village in Northern Uganda. This village was reeling from war and on the verge of extinction. But with support from Sports Outreach & Lifepoint Church, this village has been reborn. Wells for fresh water were dug; a school and church were built; and most importantly, children were fed.
To date Lifepoint Church contributes to the child-feeding program, paying teacher’s salaries to sustain the school, and a host of other items that are helping this community breath new life. We are reaching the next generation to raise them up to change not just Lagutu, but to help transform Northern Uganda."
If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
