Cancer Treatment Expenses
Donation protected
My family and I found out December 10th this year I was diagnosed with papillary carcinoma located on my thyroid and throat cartilage.
In May there was nothing present and in less than 5 months they found the first mass. When going to look at the first to diagnose what it was they found another smaller mass and that the first had grown in size in less than three weeks.
The new year will reset all of our deductibles with the insurance my wife carries all of us on through her employer. This consumes over $700 of her pay per month. My care should be going through the Veteran's Hospital however if I had stayed under their care it could have taken close to a year to get into a GP let alone a specialist of any sort.
My treatment course will be set after my surgery Thursday the 20th. We are asking for your help for several reasons:
Added fuel expenses. I drive myself to most of my appointments or when I need someone to take me I give them gas money. My wife cannot take all the time off needed for these trips.
Co-pays will will be expected again after January 1st at the doctors offices and the pharmacy. Specialists go back to 80/20. My private insurance (through my wife) has even denied paying on some of my claims.
Diet changes have become a money problem as well. I have issues swallowing anything at the moment.
I have a 9 year old daughter, a 15 and two 26 year old sons. I also have 1 grandson and 2 granddaughters. I have so much to fight for. Our costs are just mounting faster than we can pay them. I would greatly appreciate your help in anyway.
Thank you in advance. God Bless You!
