This is still tough for us to talk about but I’m trying to focus on what I can do and stay positive.
On 12 July 2019 while Danny was away at training my water decided to break at almost 25 weeks pregnant. I’m currently in Pensacola FL being well taking care of. Meds are on board to help repair the leak and assist with baby’s brain and lung development. Danny was able to return as soon as possible and is here.
Pros: I went in right away and I’m at the right hospital to take care of Baby#2 (We don’t find out the gender), Danny and I have a great support system, baby has plenty of fluid around its body, and my cervix is still closed.
Cons: I’m on bed rest for 10 weeks in a hospital an hour away from home. Not being with my family is killing me. I know Danny will do a great job but I’m trying not to think of all the things I will be missing out with Alexandria. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect daughter.
I’m gonna be completely honest; I’m doing this because we have a lot on our plate. The majority of our funds are in holding because we had a faulty home inspection telling us everything was gtg and that’s certainly not the case. If we receive nothing in the lawsuit, before selling we will have to repair some big ticketed items; roof, HVAC, electrical, you name it. We have that under control.
This added event is a bit stressful. I think for the first time I’m pushing my stubbornness and pride to the side so I’m breaking down; literally as I’m writing this, just asking for support.
Expenses to come:
Assist with family flying short notice
Support/guests at the house for a long period of time
Gas for Danny and family to drive 1 hr each way to visit
Possibly boarding our dogs
Hotels stays closer to hospital
Things still need for baby#2, diapers, wipes, etc.
Anything additional for the length of my stay
NICU for baby#2 after delivery
Please understand I’m terrible with grammar and punctuation so try not to focus on that :o)
No pressure at all to donate, really just wanted to share what was gong on. Would love thoughts and prayers. I apologize to family and close friends that didn’t receive a message/call but we’re still adjusting to what’s going on. I especially need to focus on staying calm and relaxed so contractions don’t continue.
I have my own room with a huge blank wall that I’m able to decorate with cards and such. Please reach out if you would like our address to send us anything to help keep our spirits positive.
Once settled, I’ll keep everyone updated.
