Joshua's Book Publishing

Hello, I'm Joshua Jones. I'm a classically trained percussionist, currently performing with different orchestras across America, and teaching privately as well as at clinics and masterclasses. 

The purpose of this campaign is to help me self publish my new book on drum technique. This book is intended to help students achieve a diverse facility for playing drums. My passion is to teach, so I wanted to write a book with accessible and thorough explanations that guided the student the whole way through. 

The money will be used mainly for producing copies for the book. Since younger students are the audience, I want to have a price point that is affordable for potential buyers. If I had my own printer, copy paper, binding equipment, and packaging to have a running start, I won't have to price the books to account for those costs. So more people will be able to access the book and not be excluded because of the price point. 

My goal is to have the funds for this project by the end of this year in order to produce enough copies for March 2017. This time period is when schools begin recruiting students, and I would like to promote my book at these schools during this time. 

Any donations would be greatly appreciated and for donating, I will write a special thank you on my website with the list of names of those who donated. If you donate $50, I will list your name in the book in the acknowledgements section. If you donate $100, I will both write your name in the book and send you a signed copy of the finished product. Your name will read on the top of the page underneath the name of the solo. If you donate $150 and above, everything will be included as well as a dedicated piece of music, in my next book, in your honor. (Just show proff of donation to my email and we will connect from there). 

For musicians who donate $50, the rewards will also include a free skype lesson. For $100, three free skype lessons. For $150 and above, 5 free skype lessons. 

My dream is to help aspiring musicians achieve their dreams, and I believe that this book will be a huge help in their journey. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated both by myself and by the musicians of the tomorrow.
