Maura’s Voice

Donation protected
On Friday November 2, 2018 Maura Binkley was a victim of gun violence in Tallahassee.  Maura’s family, friends, and the Florida State University community struggle to comprehend the loss of such a beautiful human being.  Maura is the daughter of Jeff and Margaret Binkley, the sister of Sean Binkley, the dog mom of Wolfie, a leader to 250 Tri-Delta sisters, and a proud fourth generation legacy student at Florida State University

Maura positively impacted everyone she met.  She believed in spreading this positivity through caring and kindness and lived her life to affect positive societal change. She was an advocate for improved public safety, better healthcare - including mental health, and measures to turn back the tide of gun violence sweeping over our country.  While Maura’s life ended all too soon, her voice continues to speak to our better nature and encourages us to work for a better culture.

Everyone who loves Maura is sad and angry at the senseless nature of her passing.  Maura’s family and friends will continue her fight for positive change and a society with the freedom to be safe. Please help us support her legacy by donating here.   All funds will be directed to Maura’s Voice for research, engagement and education related to the issues surrounding violence in our country, and specifically violence toward women.
