Karen's Breast Cancer Fund
With her adventurous spirit and big smile Karen has begun her cancer journey. She has undergone her first Chemotherapy treatment on March 7th. In the coming weeks and months Karen will experience a myriad of treatments, medications, side effects and lots of trips to Bozeman to see her medical team. She will need to undergo a mastectomy and radiation after the Chemotherapy regiment is complete.
I'm reaching out to friends and family to help alleviate the financial stress cancer incurs. I know there will be loss of income considering the seasonal work that Karen does in Big Sky but unfortunatley the bills do keep coming in. Please help in any way or form you can, no matter how small; a smile when you see her, a card, a helping hand or drop off something on their doorstep.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, donate if you can. Please share this with friends and family and help her with her battle.
Karen's Warrior Sister
Hello! It is amazing that 2 months have passed by since those dreaded words..."you have breast cancer"! I have completed the first round of Adriamycin and Cytoxan chemotherapies! Beginning 2 May I will undergo Taxol chemo every week for 12 weeks! I wish to thank all of you who have donated to this fund...really! I am humbled and grateful beyond words...I've lived in Big Sky for 24 years and the love and support of this community is life changing! The financial donations have allowed me and my family to focus on the healing process...again, so, so grateful
I hope you are doing well Karen. God bless you.
Thanks for the update Katie. Go KAREN!!! I will keep my ears open on a place in BZN. xoxoxo
Wow, thank you all for the tremendous support. I feel the love shining on Karen from you all. It means so much.
