This is Ariana and Ayden, babies that were born prematurley and are in critical condition in Mexico to Gregory and Elaine Smith.  Greg and Elaine have been waiting patiently for good news to come regarding their babies health, but unfortunatley have recieved a series of unfortunate events since their birth.   The twins were born on Jan 8th, 2015 premature at 31 weeks and were listed in critical condition.  Since their birth, it has been an uphill struggle on both babies behalves, listed  from critical to stable and back to critical condition gain.  Since they were born abroad, Greg and Elaine have been by their side praying for the best for their only children.  The treatments for their care has already cost this loving couple over $100,000 and we were hoping to help in softening the financial blow to this family by means of fundraising to augment the cost.  This family has always been first in line to donate to any cause worthy of helping their fellow man in times of duress and we are looking to pay it forward in their time of need.  Please, take a minute out of your day and donate any amount to this couple in dire need with hope that their babies will not only pull through in a timely manner, but be able to return home safe to Canada and begin their lives here.

Thank you everyone for the overwhelming response we've received from financial aid to shared contacts that have helped or given advice in our current situation. However, at this time the couple has asked that our efforts be put on hold as they have been approached by numerous media agencies in Mexico taking their primary focus away from their babies in need. We must respect their wishes and at this time just send our love and prayers that Ariana and Ayden will pull through this and our family back here in Canada will get to meet them soon. Again, the couple cant thank you enough for the love and support that they have received during their horrendous ordeal.

Thank you everyone who has donated and shared Ariana's lungs have stopped working BUT her O2 levels are in the 90's so that just means the respirator is doing all the work ( this can reverse itself) Ayden is back on a respirator. This is all so frustrating as they were born at 31 weeks and weighed 3 lbs. our biggest hold up right now is that they have/ will not issued birth certificates!!! We can't get them out of the country without them. Thanks to my Cousin posting this on her Instagram account ( she has approx 180,000 followers, " ifitwags") we have been in contact with a few lawyers in that area! They've all said the same thing......we have to start bribing the right people! I'm so disgusted!

Hi, Christy! Saw the story on CTV news tonight. So sorry for Gregory and Elaine and all that they are going through. Took quite awhile to find the Go Fund Me fundraiser, trying to do a search on that site. Finally went to CBC and they had a great article and a link to the GoFundMe site. I've shared it with friends. My problem...Go Fund Me wants my credit card, which I don't want to use. Is there any way that you could set up a link through PayPal? I'd like to help. Thank you! Blessings and prayers, Martina
