Bruno brought to our attention 2 days ago, a rancher called and said he has a dog on his property who was missing a leg. As pictures came in we could only image the pain this pup was in.

As rescues gathered resources together we picked him up and he was off to a temp foster home until Jamie from All Kritters Kamp could go out and pick him up.

Once she was able to go pick him up she was horrified to see the damage that was done to him. He had a part shaved off his hind end and missing 1/2 of his front left leg, also skin and bones. GOOD NEWS he was Neutered whooooo,,, Let's hope he is chipped as well and this story will have a happy ending.. So off to the vet she went .... and YES he is CHIPPED YEAH!!!! let's call the owners and tell them there beautiful baby boy has been found alive.!!!! ( see where I am going with this ) Vet calls owners and they proceed to tell the vet that " Bruno" is in there living room .. oh wait no he is not here, then it was there home was broken into 2 months ago and the dog was taken, but they never filed a missing dog report, then it was no wait it was about a month ago and he has no idea what happen, when asked yet again where is dog was and why he was found in a field near Rio Vista almost 75miles away from his home in Oakland Ca with a missing leg the owner replied " I don;t know but my brother took him for a drive" ....You would think when he did not make it home you would ask where he was but NOOOOO that did not happen. So needless to say it is now safe to say that these POS owners of this beautiful dog just dumped him 75 miles away from home to fend for himself out in the fields.
We are not 100% sure what happen to his leg either he was tied up and ripped it off, there is evidence that he may have chewed his leg off , or maybe stuck in some short of trap whatever happened to him no one will ever know, What we do know is we need your help to get this beauty the help, love and forever home he deserves.

Bruno is a 4y black head black lab he is currently in a foster home and will have surgery next week on the 25th, Animal Control and PD have been called and reports will be filed as soon as we can get a call back. In the mean time Bruno will have to have the remaining part of his leg removed and he will join the other amazing Tripods.  Rescue means it is ran strictly on donated funds, a surgery like this will cost rescue about $4000 and that does not include after care we need to try to raise $6000 to get this beauty the care he needs. Rescues take cases on like this because the love they have for animals. Please donate to the below Go fund and share this page, come back for updates on how Bruno is doing.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Update 23

Sorry I haven't updated it's been an event less couple days. Well... until tonight anyway. Brunos leg is getting really swollen and infected it seems. I have a call into the vet to see what to do now. We aren't supposed to go in until next week for a blood check but he will need to go in the morning to see where to go from here. It's extremely frustrating and my heart breaks for him. His foster parents are doing a wonderful job with him and he seems to trust them completely. I'm still waiting for UC Davis to call me back, they are probably annoyed that I've called and emailed a hundred times. Please pray for him tonight and for things to get better for him. I'm still fighting animal control to file charges on the people that put him in this situation. I'll be starting a petition tomorrow online for it to be passed around and signed and I will hand deliver it to the DA if need be. I've had to use a lot of the money for his appointments, tests, medication and supplies so please don't stop sharing the go find me account to help. Every penny donated will be used for his medical care and I will post pictures of all his bills at the end of the week so everyone gets an idea where we are. My goal thus far has been to getting him the help. Thank you everyone for being so supportive. He's a great boy and deserves to be taken care of. Our friend Emily at News 10 is working her magic trying to get an updated story aired to help get the word out.

Thank you everyone for the support. We took Bruno in this morning all prepared for surgery. I received a call from the doctor around 12:30 telling me we had a problem. Bruno bled out for too long when he was out there abandoned on his own and his blood levels are too critical for surgery. So we had to pick him up. I called UC Davis and they don't offer a "rescue" discount so we are looking at 4000-6000 to get him better! So please keep sharing this account and let's get poor Bruno the surgery he needs.

Just wanted to send everyone a quick update. Bruno went to the vet a little bit ago. He needed a bandage change and they cleaned him out. He wasn't smelling very good. Tomorrow morning we head to the doctor for his surgery. I will post updates as I get them. Thank you all so much for supporting this sweet boy.
