Our little "Jem" All Breed Rescue Angels

Friends meet Jem or “Baby J”.  He joined ABRA rescue after our veterinarian friend Dr Brenda met this sweet nugget in a rural shelter.  In that setting Jem was not considered adoptable because his front legs are a little wonky, and she reached out to ABRA to help.   Jem joined our rescue family and was evaluated by an Orthopedic surgeon at University of Wisconsin who specializes in "Angular limb deformity" (otherwise known as Wonky legs).  He believes a surgical correction will give him the best outcome, as over time this will cause him to develop arthritis and he is still a baby only 11 months old!   In order to complete the correction Jem will need to have 4 separate surgeries, starting on April 9,2019.  Your donations with help us provide the medical care that Jem needs.  We truly appreciate your support!!
