KPAC Harvey Recovery

Donation protected
Hurricane Harvey has devastated the Gulf Coast region. The effects on the economic centers of Houston and the surrounding areas will resound throughout the nation. Lives were threatened and lost, homes demolished, and livelihoods imperiled. After taking stock and what was affected and lost, we now look to the future.

Kim Hennigan and her family have all had extensive damage to their homes caused by Hurricane Harvey. Her dance studio, Kim’s Performing Dance Centre is located by the intersection of I-45 and FM 517. This intersection was shown often during the national coverage of the storm and its damage. The studio was submerged. This page is for KPAC’s efforts to be able to open again. KPAC is family-owned and operated small business. Kim has been teaching dance and coaching gymnastic  for the better part of three decades. Kim's Performing Dance Centre provides dance and gym classes for the greater Dickinson and Santa Fe areas. KPAC is a respected competitor in the local circuit. Performers have received national recognition in the form of awards and invitations to workshops. KPAC cultivates each young dancer’s abilities and provides each with a safe place after school and during summer breaks. Our dancers perform and gain confidence to last the rest of their lives. Given the extent of the water damage.

We do not wish to detract from other charities and drives seeking to provide food, comfort, and shelter to the needy. We only ask to give what you can to help us be able to provide for the community again. Our dancers look forward to the re-opening of their studio.

Thank you.
