A Place To Heal
Kootenai Pets for Life needs to build a room divided into four individual quiet areas to give our cats a place to heal.
Cats like Lady, a 14 year-old gray tabby whose owner passed away, are traumatized when they first come in and need a private place to adjust. A place away from the noise and smells of others, a place to call their own until they come to terms with the changes in their life. The rooms will also be used for new Moms who have kittens to care for, or abandoned kittens, like the thirty brought to us last year, who need space to play. Elderly cats in need of rest, sick cats in need of treatment – the use for the rooms far exceeds the space to list the necessity.
Kootenai Pets for Life is a no-kill shelter whose staff are all volunteers. It provides quality, caring service to the community of Lincoln County. Please help us continue to deliver the best care for the helpless and the homeless as they become part of our family, until they become part of yours.
