Big Bird's Fund

My horse, Big Bird, is my life. He and I have been together for over six years now. He is my rock and we have done everything together. Together we went from unsure and unconfident to confident trusting souls. He has shown me how to live and be free. We are an inseparable team. I give him my confidence and love; he gives me freedom and trust. When I got him I was told that he wouldn't be worth the glue he would make. Together we proved everyone wrong, winning many ribbons, several of them being blues, to those that have tried to put us down. He developed a severe sinus infection that refused to go away. He went through several rounds of antibiotics with no improvement. He also got his sinus flushed a few times; this is when we found the mass. He went into sinus flap surgery where it was determined to have a cancerous tumor. I have been laid off due to a broken hand, and the bills have been piling up. I am desperate to pay the bills and keep my horse as comfortable as possible for the rest of his time here with me.
