Donation protected
I’ve created this page this in support of the Keyes Family as Chloe receives treatment for B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. All money donated will go to directly to the family to use as they need.

Please help to spread the word of this page!

Love and thanks from Chloe’s Aunt Olivia

Chloe’s story as told by her mother, Becky:

“Three weeks ago, the school nurse asked us to come and pick up Chloe as she was complaining of a sore throat and had a low grade fever. She seemed fine after coming home and was fine all weekend and went back to school on Monday. However, the nurse called again after about an hour that Chloe was back in her office with the same symptoms. That Tuesday, Valentine's Day, I brought her the doctor since Chloe was now complaining that her ear hurt. He prescribed antibiotics for the infection in her ear and sent us home. That week, Chloe didn't really make any improvements and she was now having intermittent low-grade fevers coupled with loss of color in her face. She was also very lethargic, wanting to sleep most of the day, and told us she felt "horrible". After a week of antibiotics and what seemed to me, a worsening of symptoms, she went back to the doctor. It was then that our pediatrician saw some troubling signs. Her liver was enlarged, she was anemic, and her lymph nodes were swollen. She sent us to Charlotte Hungerford for blood work and a chest X-ray. That night, we got the call from our pediatrician that we were to take Chloe to CCMC. Upon being admitted, there were more red flags. Chloe had small, red bruises on her torso and a fever of 105.6. It was then that we realized she hadn't gotten the flu, like what Steve and I had, but that this was every parent's worst nightmare.

More tests today confirmed that our little girl, our sassy, silly, energetic, amazingly healthy little girl has Leukemia. Steven and I are still reeling from this news, and we ask that everyone please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Pray to who you pray to, send positive vibes out into the universe, whatever you do when faced with the unimaginable, please do this for us. We thank everyone ahead of time, please know we may not be able to respond to every comment or every text. We only ask that you think of us and our brave Chloe Bear. I know that we'll get through this, but we will need you too. Thank you, and know our baby is strong and will get through this!

Love, Becky & Steve”
