Klauba Family Assistance

Donation protected
This is probably one of the hardest things I've had to write - but my family is in desperate need of assistance.

My husband Justin Klauba is currently hospitalized and being treated for severe depression - something he has been battling for many years and is an unfortunate illness that plagues the culinary industry.

After feeling like he had no other choice, no solution, no answers - to the point he saw no sliver of light and could no longer bear the burden of life - he attempted to take his own life on December 6th. Thankfully intervention was able to occur and he is now safe and being treated and cared for.  This is the second time he has attempted this, as the first time he was unable to get the assistance and medical help he needed.

As many of our friends and family know - we recently had a beautiful baby boy named Jackson, who is 7 weeks old. I no longer work due to maternity leave and the decision we made when I got pregnant to be a stay at home mom.

Justin was our soul provider - and he was great at it, he is an amazing father and husband, but is now unable to work due to his in- patient treatment and the loss of his position as an Executive Chef due to this circumstance (they could not allow him to miss work for treatment).

Justin does not have insurance as we did not qualify for state assistance, and we have been denied other state assistance as well (food, snap, etc). We will be filing for unemployment for him, however - it is required that he is "physically able and fit to work" in order for him to collect, which unfortunately is not the case currently.

We do not know how long he will be in treatment - at this point it is looking like a couple of weeks at least. The time frame doesn't matter however, as long as he is healing and getting the support and help he needs.

I currently have no job, but am now actively and agressively searching for employment to try to keep our lives afloat - as we may lose our house(rental), vehicle, source of food and utilities as we have no income at all. We also will have a mound of medical bills and rehabiliation fees that need to be taken care of.  Not to mention the diapers, formula and care for our baby Jackson.

It would be helpful if we could get some assistance with our bills for the last part of December, January and maybe February as I have no idea how long he will be in treatment and how quickly I can find a job or how much it will pay.

I am thankful for my parents, as they are going to help watch Jackson while I try to make ends meet for our family and to stay strong for Justin.

Please know that I am trying...and doing everything I know to do, but I need help. I cannot do this on my own. Justin is my life, my love and my bestfriend - - I need him to be okay.

Thank you,

Tiffany Klauba - Justin's loving wife.
