SAMA Mosaic Conference Scholarships

Let's help some wonderful mosaic artists who couldn't normally afford to go to our national  "SAMA" mosaic conference! This fund will provide add-on funds to Jacqueline Iskander's generous MESI registration scholarships for 2 individuals- things like airfare, shared hotel, lunches and dinners, addl. transportation, travel, or other costs.  More information on Jacqueline's scholarships can be found here:

which show you how valuable your contribution, however small, can be to a struggling mosaic artist.  Application deadline for the scholarships is December 8, 2015 and these funds will go to those recipients.

Last year, Jacqueline's scholarships were able to fund 3 mosaic artists to attend the conference and one workshop, and we raised enough money here to provide them with $500 toward other costs. Now, you know that travel and lodging expenses alone to SAMA wil cost each person more than $500, so let's try to raise more this year to expand the possibility to those who just don't have enough to fund all the other expenses there are!  We need to gather these funds by December 15, the notification date for the recipients, so that they will know what resources are available to judge whether they can fund the gap and attend the conference. We want them to be able to get into a workshop they are interested in, and those will fill up quickly after registration opens in December!
