KJ Recovery Relief Fund

$10,785 of $15,000 goal

Raised by 136 people in 9 months
On Sunday morning Kenneth Joseph (KJ) was returning home after working at Shiloh Bar and Grill.  While sleeping KJ suffered two cerebellar strokes and several mini strokes.  Doctors have been struggling to find the cause of the strokes and are surprised because KJ is so young, 30.  KJ went into surgery on Tuesday morning to relieve swelling that occurred since the strokes occurred Sunday morning.  Surgery went well and is now resting.  He is being kept sedated for a couple of days to help with recovery from surgery.  We are hoping for the best outcome possible but realize that there is going to be a very extensive and hard road to recovery with several teams of doctors.  Please keep KJ in your thoughts and prayers as he really needs them right now.

KJ is a wonderful father and step-father to two boys, Wyatt Joseph (1 month) and Hunter Lee (9) and is a loving husband to Stephanie Goehl.  If you don’t know KJ, he is a friend to all and can talk to just about anybody about anything.  As a real estate agent partner with his mother, KJ has touched the lives of thousands of people in Mid-Missouri.  He goes beyond what is necessary for his family to make sure that they are well taken care of.  Stephanie, KJ, Hunter and little Wyatt are extremely grateful for any words of encouragement and support.  I will update this page on his progress as his recovery continues.

This gofundme will support:

-KJ and his family’s current and upcoming medical bills

-KJ and his family’s living expenses as KJ will be out of work for an extended period of time as he recovers

This will probably be the last update. KJ has been doing really well, walking and doing pretty much everything he did before the strokes. Ashley and I went out with him, Stephanie and all our + Leslie's kids to get something to eat. I can't explain how cool that was.

I will shutdown this page Friday or Saturday. Thank you everyone for your encouragement and support!

KJ has been doing so well lately, they are letting him leave on Friday! He'll continue with his therapy and is going to try and make it to Toalson’s Glass of Saturday. If you'd like to come say hi, I'm sure they would love to see you!

Hey everybody, I know it's been a while. KJ has been doing so well and has started rehab. He was moved out of the ICU and is now in the rehab unit last Monday or Tuesday. He's been working with occupational, physical and speech therapists. Progress is slow, but steady. Thanks for the outpouring of support. It means the world to Stephanie, Hunter, Wyatt and the rest of the Goehl's.

There is an event this Saturday, at Toalson's Glass, from 12-4pm. It is a bike show, raffle, silent auction and chili luncheon. It is being hosted by Kacy and Nick Schneider, Jerome Stremel. There is an event on Facebook with more information. I'm sure they would all love to see you there!

KJ just keeps getting better and better. He was able to talk a little bit yesterday after they took the breathing tube out and is holding short conversations today. His sense of humor is still there, giving my wife crap today along with everyone else who has come to visit. There is hope that they will be moving him from the ICU as soon as tomorrow, but we will wait and see.

Hope everyone had a great weekend because I think KJ sure did.
