UPDATE:
Charleston Area Bride Battling Breast Cancer Passes Following Dream Wedding

CHARLESTON, SC – Nov. 5, 2017: The family and friends of Kizzie Hall (formerly Priestley), announced that Kizzie passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, surrounded by family and “wrapped in love”. The announcement made from her husband read:

“On behalf of myself, Kizzie, and our family, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation for all of the support we have recently received. The outpouring of love and prayers from throughout the nation has meant the world to us and we know that our special day would not have happened without the support of so many and the leadership of our Almighty God. With that in mind, I regret to inform you that Kizzie passed on Saturday evening. She was surrounded by family and wrapped in love. Kizzie was, and will always be the love of my life and our family’s faith in God will get us through this. In the coming days, we ask for continued prayers as we journey through this very difficult time and appreciate your respect and we handle this personal matter. Our next focus is making sure the celebration of Kizzie’s life matches the level of faith, class, kindness and joy that she lived her life with every single day,” David Hall, husband.
Additionally, Hall added, “On my last days with the love of my life I was blessed enough to have a conversation with her and this is what Kizzie Priestley said to me… ‘I’m not afraid of what lies ahead - My faith in God and Jesus has prepared me. What I’ve witness the last few weeks from family, friends and even strangers, let’s me know that David and the kids will be just fine. I’m ready” - Kizzie Hall

Kizzie and her husband, David, were married on Thursday, Nov. 2 at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, SC. Initially scheduled for Nov. 2018, the wedding was first moved up to Sunday, Nov. 5 as concerns for Kizzie’s health grew. To support the costs of a wedding with a 30-day planning period, a family friend posted on Facebook, spawning a Charleston-wide network of support. In a few short days, 100 percent of the wedding was donated, including: dress, venue, catering, cake, photography and videography, DJ services, flowers and so much more.

However, Kizzie was admitted to the hospital on Monday, Oct. 30 and informed that time was of the essence. The team of support joined forces with the staff at Trident Medical Center and hospital officials agreed to host the wedding in the hospital cafeteria on Thursday, Nov. 2. In addition to the space, the hospital staff chipped in for many special touches and the nutrition team provided catering.

“This entire process has been mind-blowing,” stated David Hall. “First so many friends, family and even strangers stepped in and then, when we had to abandon that plan, the team at Trident Medical Center partnered with the original team and together they moved mountains on our behalf. It’s allowed her to pass with a great deal of dignity and happiness in her heart.”

All proceeds will directly support Kizzie’s celebration of life being planned for Thursday in her hometown of Clinton, SC. Any remaining funds will be directed to support the education of Kizzie’s children.

Kizzie was a single mother with 3 kids and David was a single dad with 2 kids. Now their family of 7 is excited to become a family through the marriage of Kizzie to David.

Kizzie has been battling her cancer for the past year and is currently undergoing chemo and radiation. The treatment is taking a toll on her body, mind, and spirit.
Her dream is to marry David and have a honeymoon with David and the 5 children in Disney World this November.

The date of their wedding will be on Sunday, November 5th on Folly Beach and they are in need of funds to make this wedding and honeymoon a reality!

Your support of Kizzie's wedding will mean the world to her and her family.

Funds will be used for Kizzie's wedding dress, renting a vehicle to drive the whole family to Disney World, the wedding venue rental fee, wedding cake, catering, and miscellaneous expenses that go into planning a wedding.
