Training Kitchen for the Blind

Center of Vision Enhancement (COVE) is a support and training center for persons who are blind or have low vision.  We train clients to be independent and self-sufficient.  Due to the sale of our current location, we are in the process of moving.  At the new site, we do not have a kitchen to teach the modules of independent living skills related to food preparation and cooking.  COVE needs to establish a kitchen in order to teach skills, such as kitchen safety, organization, food preparation, stovetop cooking, and baking to name a few.  

As with all centers for the blind, we are a non-profit and receive no direct funding.  We rely on the generosity of donors to serve our clients.   The estimated cost for creating a kitchen in one of the existing rooms of the new building is $5,000.  COVE welcomes any size donation to create the "Kitchen for COVE".
