Exciting News!!!

Hey Everybody!!! My name is Kira Taylor.  I am a 20-year-old singer-songwriter, Free2Luv youth advocate, Cystic Fibrosis Warrior/Advocate and a Kindness Warrior supporting Hands Across the Bay non-profit org. I attend PHSC part-time and am a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and my school's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Chapter. I am SUPER thrilled to share with you my exciting music endeavor that has come my way. My dream of having a supportive team, working alongside a talented music engineer/producer and creating my own EP to share with the world has come true.

However, I need financial assistance towards this music endeavor. Since I have Cystic Fibrosis which is a chronic lung disease (life-threatening disease) my family has a lot of medical expenses that must be paid to keep me healthy.  Living with CF my morning and night rituals might look different than others without such health issues. My day consists of hours of inhaled medicines including (bronchodilators, antibiotics etc.) Chest physical therapy (Consists of wearing a Monarch Airway Clearance Vest- which I like to say that I look like a “Transformer”, Pancreatic Enzyme taken with each meal, Glucose testing, probiotics, antibiotics, sinus rinses, etc. Also, I have been blessed to be approved and take a medicine called Symdeko which is known as a miracle medicine as it decreases the side effects someone gets from having CF.

Living with Cystic Fibrosis can be hard at times, but my love of music and singing has helped me so much in my healing process which has gotten me closer to God. I would like to now share with you some accomplishments to give you an insight on who I am.

I hope that you will read and understand why an interviewer titled me as “ONE GIRL WITH CYSTIC FIBROSIS DEFEATING THE ODDS & MAKING A DIFFERENCE”.

* Received the First “Move It Award” for my collaborative Anti-Bullying  music  cover video Bad Day by Daniel Powter –Our version of his song was given his positive support through social media.

* Highlighted performances: Opened up for Keegan Allen’s (Toby from Pretty Little Liars) Meet/Greet Back to School Bash, performed alongside Spencer Sutherland (Annual NO Bull Music Showcase;2014), and Opened up for Florida’s Premier Country Band “Easy Posse” for the Friday Extra Concert Series,

*: Two volunteer community-based awards (12 yrs. old) which I was interviewed by Lisette Campos ABC Action News: Positively Tampa Bay and Bay News 9.

* Roughly 20 Article interviews. Highlighting: Glitter Magazine: Real People (2015), Health Bistro from Lifescript by Kristyn Burtt (Correspondent for Dance Network) and my latest interview with Sue McGaughey through City to Country Magazine.

My accomplishments have made an enormous impact on my life.  I cannot wait to show all my supporters where my music career is headed to next with the help of their love, prayers, and encouragement.

I am so filled with anticipation that I will be working towards my EP which has always been a dream of mind.   This is all thanks to the help of a wonderful friend of mine Mr. David Yates (CEO) and Clearwater Marine Aquarium, which is the home of Winter the Dolphin and the Dolphin Tale movies. David Yates was also the producer of both movies.  Also, I have been teamed up with Ryan Daniel-Producer/Worship Leader who led his old band “Among The Thirsty” which had a #1 hit. I am thrilled to have the honor to work with Mr. Daniel as he is genuinely kind hearted and uniquely talented artist and can see just how much he loves making music. I am extremely excited to work with both throughout this magnificent journey.

In this EP I will be releasing around 5 songs that will reflect on life events that have made me into who I am. I have been dreaming of making and releasing a collection of my songs ever since I can remember writing. My hopes for my album are to engage my audience in subjects they can relate to. I want people to be able to take away my mission of inspiring others and how important it is to believe in yourself.
