Our dear friend Gary King suffered a serious motorcycle accident when enjoying a ride near Grafton recently.
Gary’s injuries included a double compound fracture of the right leg, a fractured pelvis, a punctured lung, broken wrist, rib damage and head trauma. He’s been in John Hunter, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie hospitals and is currently recuperating at home. Needless to say, his motorcycling days are now over and the likelihood of him singing and playing guitar at a club near you anytime soon is extremely remote.
Gary’s loving wife Savy no longer works. She now cares for her husband and ensures their young son’s schooling stays on track.
There are many visits to many specialists still required.
The police, insurance companies and solicitors are still to resolve a number of issues.
In the meantime, all the medical, mortgage, utility and grocery bills need to be paid so we’re asking everyone who has ever enjoyed listening to Gary King over the 20 years he’s played music on the coast, to dig deep and donate something to help him and his family out during these very challenging times.
