King Tut’s Emergency Surgery

This is King Tut. Tut is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met. He was a stray to the NYC Shelter where they suspected he had lymphoma and asked for us to take him. Thankfully, one of our committed foster homes stepped up for him knowing the probable prognosis.
Tut unfortunately has been diagnosed with lymphoma by our vets. He had an oncologist appointment today and is having an emergency surgery to remove a necrotic and infected lymph node. He is expected to do well with his surgery but please keep him in your thoughts.
When he has healed we will start treatment but this will only give him 3-6 months most likely but hopefully longer. His body is in good shape otherwise and he is a happy energetic boy. He does not know he is sick.
This surgery alone will cost $3,600 but it is necessary to remove the infection and give Tut the quality time he deserves with us after who knows what his life was like before he got to the shelter and then to us.
We will collectively make Tut's life as fun as we can by doing as many new and exciting things with him as possible so he can enjoy the rest of the time he has left here. This includes playing with his foster brothers and sisters, home cooked meals, beach trips on Long Island and in NJ, weeks here and there in the NYC and to the park, plenty of car rides where he can enjoy the wind in his face, and whatever else is on Tut's bucket list.
