Our lives are forever changed. On 11/2/2016 my mother, Kim McKenna, was diagnosed with terminal Non Small Cell Metastatic Stage 4 Lung Cancer which has spread. I know that everyone can be different in what path they choose when on going such a treacherous journey , but my mom is extremely strong and decided to fight the fight. If there was a chance they could “slow” the spread of the cancer she was for it, as she put it she "has so much more life to live".
So our journey has begun with radiation that started in Dec 2016 and since then she has continued with radiation and chemotherapy. Her days are long and busy with appointments, treatments, spending time with family, and IN LOTS OF PAIN.
I have decided to start this funding page to help with the overwhelming medical & travel (Dana Farber, Boston, MA) expenses.
Another reason I am asking for funding is so that we can take her on a small vacation; she needs and deserves this! I want her to be pampered and enjoy TIME with her family. In all this chaos she/we appreciate a little serenity, help us to forget this living nightmare, at least for a short while.
