Kimberly Hyde: Home & Healing Fund

Kimberly (Kim) Hyde is one of the most amazing people on the planet, who I am blessed to call one of my best friends, and she needs our help!!!

2016 was not kind to Kim and to put it in a nutshell, she is ending her year having a brain tumor removed all while not having a place to call home.

I have started this GoFundMe account to help her cover her medical bills and to finish her tiny house so that she can have a place to recover.

Here is Kim's story:
In April, Kim got a call from her landlord that they decided to sell the townhouse she was renting in Charleston... and it sold in 9 days.  After looking for a month with no luck finding an affordable place to rent, she found a small piece of property to buy and decided to put a tiny house on it. And by tiny, we are talking 500 sq. ft.! Instead of taking 3 months, it's been over 6 and way more expensive due to the recent hurricane and other unforeseen problems.

Then, Kim fell ill working at an event September 29th. I was with her and able to help cover the event while another friend took her to the hospital.  After a few more trips to the ER and a hospital stay, they found a tumor in her brain.  None of us could have ever imagined such a thing to happen, especially with all that she has been going through. Two months of doctors and testing daily, all while she is struggling physically to work, has taken a toll on her.

Kim's son, Keller, is in school at junior college. He helps her with the business, going to events, filling orders and filling in for her at CK conventions. Keller has been sleeping on the floor at office when not helping with one of the events.

The tiny house is finally being delivered but it is just a shell.  $18k is an estimate for: a well for water, electrical, heating and air, plumbing, and basic fixtures...so Kim and Keller can pass inspection to move in.  This doesn't count extended loss of income coming from this surgery or the upcoming medical bills of an unknown amount.

Kim is determined to work her way through this by selling items with her scrapbook business, Keller's Creations. Please spread the word of her business, products, and Scrap it Southern Style events, all which can be purchased at www.acidfree.com.

Kim works so hard but she cannot do it alone this time. She needs our help! Please donate today. Thank you for any amount. Every donation is one step closer to Kim saying goodbye to the horrible year with the brain tumor, and hello to a new year of healing and a forever home.
