Kim Needs a Liver Transplant

Let me tell you all about my friend Kim, whom I met way back in 1997. She’s a devoted single mom of two girls who are the jewels of her life. Her youngest is now finally in remission after a long battle with Cancer. While her baby underwent countless surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy in Vancouver, this required multiple weekend trips over there unemployed and caring for a second youngster just starting school. Her long-time partner left, causing poor Kim to fall deeper and deeper in debt until she was forced to sell her only asset- her condo. Just when the wave of financial freedom and a cancer-free life comes to shore...Kim is admitted to hospital and told she has “anywhere between a week and a month” to LIVE. She is in dire need of a new liver. This means she will have to stay in Vancouver once more awaiting a miracle at St Paul’s hospital. Her daughters need to be cared for here by family, her bills will continue to amass. I am begging anyone in the community with any spare dollars at this time of the year to please consider chipping in to help my friend, just as they did when I needed their help. Every little bit helps carry her through, and the donor status is unknown at this time- it’s not easy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and happy holidays to you all.
