Ireland supporting Australian Bushfires

Hi I'm Dustin, I'm an Aussie who has recently moved to Ireland. By now we have all seen the devastating bushfires currently reeking havoc on Australian communities, animals and ecosystems. It's tough feeling so distant from the ongoing emergencies especially when so many family and friends are putting up a fight or have been directly impacted. 

Feeling helpless and so far away myself and my partner Rachel are asking you to please support Australia in this time of need. Many of you have either visited, lived in, plan to travel to Australia, or have friends and family who have, this beautiful country needs International support. The fastest and easiest way to show Australia support right now is through direct fundraising. 

All of the proceeds from this gofundme will go directly and split evenly between the Red Cross, who have launched an emergency operation to respond to those communities in need; and WIRES a not for profit volunteer wildlife preservation and rehabilitation group.

Burning across Australia since September with no signs of stopping, the fires have to date burnt over 8 million hectares of land - in context the island of Ireland is 8.4 million hectares. Half a  Million animal deaths so far, 1,300 homes destroyed, 24 people dead.

We really appreciate everyones help big or small, whilst the fires burn out of control with no signs of stopping and no rain on the way, communities will be reeling and rebuilding from this disaster for 18 months or longer!
