Kilimanjaro Irish primary school
Donation protected
A very special start to the year in Africa, I'm back to Ireland where our problems now seem tiny. With a few days wages donated our school can function until summer. The money we made and had available is nearly gone, it was put to great use in Tanzania, one of the worlds 20 poorest countries.
We proudly provided :
- 320 school books
- 2 months of teachers salaries
- School bus to & from school daily
- 4000 school lunches
This cost us a total of €3500. The school is run entirely on donations from Ireland (no government funding) and every cent donated goes directly to the cause, with nobody other than the children benefiting. We'd love if a large company soon contributed to ensure these kids can continue their education that gives them hope & opportunity. But until then small donations from a large group will keep the school on it's feet.
With the donations :
- The remaining 280 schoolbooks will be purchased
- The lunch ingredients until summer will be bought, 3000 lunches
- The teachers salaries until Summer
- A school laptop
To be able to make a difference for so little from the comfort of your cosy home is exciting. Please do get involved.
We'll have volunteer groups going in August & January, so hit me up if you want to change some lives in the home of the Lion King, no doubt the best travel experience I've ever had. We are lucky enough to be able to improve countless lives with a few hours wages, show some love xx
