Kids' Needs

When I first moved to the United States, I felt lost, abandoned, and stressed. Only the help of my new family who supported me in learning language, customs, and traditions of my new home land got me through the tough times. Now, I feel more secure, more independent, and, most importantly, I feel safe. 
That's why when an old friend of mine reached out asking for help, I could not refuse. She is a director of the educational rehabilitation center for children with musculo-skeletal disorders in my Home town Rozhyshche, Volyn Region, Ukraine. This boarding school is taking care of the children disadvantaged by physical or mental disability, family violence, and orphans from the entire region. For years, this had been the only center to take care of such children who were not generally accepted at regular schools. 
Running of this school had always depended on donations from city government and various charity organizations, but these days, those donations are not enough to maintain even minimal comfort for these kids outside of classroom. The last drop that made my friend to reach out was a broken TV set in the commons, whom nobody could find any funds to replace. 
Moved by such a request, I am reaching out to my new extended family and friends in the United States, asking to help me raise some money to send to this school.  There is a saying in my native language that translates into English as "if everyone in the world will give a piece of yarn, a beggar will have himself clothes". I am not asking for much, but every bit will help.
