Kids Mental Health

Hi everyone, my name is Rose. I am a yoga teacher and Relaxation Therapist sharing Mindfulness practices within my local community and I am looking for funding to help reach more people in particular children and their families suffering from depression and self-destructive behaviours. With the rise in child depression and anxiety mixed with self-image issues I want to offer a safe, welcoming and supportive environment in which children can come along with their parents/ guardians and learn some really useful tools to deal with life's hard knocks. One in 4 adolescents under 19 are diagnosed with depression. Some of which are treated using Prozac! The SAMH highlighted last year that 7000 adolescents were rejected from receiving CAMHS, 17500 in the last 3 years. It's astonishing! Our childrens mental wellbeing matters. My vision is to offer yoga, mindfulness and counselling services by qualified and passionate therapists to those who need the service the most but may not be able to afford it. We do offer our service for free when requested however, it is no longer sustainable due to rising rental costings. We have found new premises in our local area and will need help to cover the costs for the first year and to up our marketing campaign so our small business can reach out to help those who need it most. Having a permanent base helps to establish roots and provides a sense of stability. A friend suggested we come here and here we are humbly asking if you could help us help our children, the future generation build an unshakeable self-confidence and belief in themselves, and help us do our part to eradicate child anxiety and depression by promoting optimal health & wellbeing through the practical use of yoga, mindfulness and counselling services.
