Kidney transplant for a family member
Donation protected
Hi Everyone,
I am Mui. I am raising money for a family member (cousin) Noah Yusuff who needs a kidney transplant.
He was a fit, happy, and entreprising 33 year-old man with so much going for him and bright future ahead of him fell critically ill some years ago when he was diagnosed and treated for kidney related ailments which was managed overtime.
Early 2018 however, Noah's world began to change in unimaginable and dramatic way when he was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disorder (CKD). Since then, he has spent days in and out of hospital and has been undergoing twice weekly dialysis to regulate the functioning of his kidney. This has 'kept him going' albeit at huge cost of about N90,000/week (£200) in a country without free medical care.
As may be appreciated, the above palliative measures are not sustainable in the long term. Thus, medical experts suggested he has to have a Renal (kidney) transplant to keep him hail and healthy and enable him live normal life in the next foreseeable future.
First degree relatives (siblings) have willingly volunteered to donate if found fit after necessary evaluation.
Since the facilities for such operations/procedures are scarce (if not unavailable) in Nigeria, local medical professionals have recommended he travel to India for the transplant procedures. To commence the process, Noah and his donor have been invited to India for initial evaluation which will take 7 - 10 days.
I’m hoping to raise the required funds to enable Noah get the best possible renal (kidney) in a reputable institution as I want to make sure Noah can get back to doing what he loves and get his life back.
As all documentations and pre-surgery arrangements have been secured for Noah and the donor with available funds raised by the family so far (N2,000,000; approx. £4000), it becomes imperative to raise the funds for the transplant procedure in India. The cost of this kidney transplant operation procedures sums up to about N7,000,000 (£15,000 approx.).
*Includes:*
1. Consultants’ Charges
2. Procedure Charges
3. Medicines, Investigations, Blood processing and Consumable Charges
4. Patient stay with normal diet (12 Days – 10 days ICU & 2 Days Room)
5. By-stander accommodation while patient in room
6. Cost of treatment other than specified
7. Consumables and Special Investigation (If Undergone), Special Medication (Simulect/ ATG/ Plasmapheresis + IvIg / Rituximab)
8. Hemodialysis
9. Discharge Medication
10. Return Airfare for 2 people (Noah and Donor).
Funds would be drawn to my bank account and then remitted to the operating hospital in India.
I'd really appreciate your kind gesture in this regards.
Be blessed as you contribute towards this charitable cause.
*Thank you.*
