Kidney operation for Kahindi

My good friend Kahindi from the turtle rescue organisation on the Kenyan coast, who has put his heart and soul into rescuing turtles for the last 15 years, is now in need of help himself.
Kahindi has been diagnosed with kidney stones a while ago. The initial treatment with medication to try and shrink the stones has unfortunately not been successful, and the medical advice at this point is to have open surgery to remove the stones. His health insurance will only partially cover the costs of the surgery, and he will have to find the remaining €2,500 himself, which is an impossible feat on a Kenyan salary.
In the meantime the stones have continued to grow, and Kahindi is in considerable pain now, and therefore the operation needs to happen as a matter of urgency.
Any contribution towards his medical costs will be greatly appreciated!
