Kicks for Kids is a initiative led by Leadership Columbia County Class of 2018 to help donate new or gently used shoes to children in need throughout the Columbia County School System for grades K-12. Our goal is to collect as many new or gently used shoes for children in need or collect funds to purchase the needed shoes.
Most do not know the staggering statistics, but 450+ children in the Columbia County School System have been placed on the McKinney-Vento list, which outlines children that are either homeless, living in shelters, in doubled-up housing, displaced due to natural disasters, etc. Click the link below for more infomration on the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.

We hope that the community can rally together to ensure that no kid goes without a pair of shoes in Columbia County. Unfortunately, it does happen and children have shown up to school with bare feet. We cannot let this happen! Please help by donating new or genly used shoes or by donating money that will help purchase the shoes and shoe sizes that are needed. Every little bit helps! We are asking that all shoes and donations to purchase the shoes be donated by the end of February.
