Kicking Kimmy's Cancer

Hi, my name is Vicki and this is what is happening with my sister.
Kim wasn’t feeling well and ended up being sent to a gynaecologist and then sent to Halifax because of  a mass they saw.
They did surgery on April 1st and we waited for results and Kim was told a few weeks later it is cancer.
We had no idea how serious the situation would become. We thought once the mass was removed the cancer was removed, but not so simple.

Kim has "Endometrioid Ovarian Cancer."
The doctors said many scary things.
-it's rare
-it’s aggressive
-you can’t return to work right now
-you’ll need several chemo treatments
-you’re going to lose your hair

I know many of you reading this know exactly how scary  all that information can be. 

For Kim, Paul and all the family this is of course difficult and as you can imagine financially it really takes a toll.
Kim has looked after children for many years now and they all adore her and she loves them.  She’s been sad to not have them around.

Bottom line is there have been so many Halifax trips already.
She has to go to Halifax before every chemo treatment to see the oncologist.
She hasn’t had an income for 6 weeks and will be unable to work indefinitely.

Many people have asked if we would be doing a fundraiser or go fund me campaign, so I decided to do this. I know how much love and support there is out there and if you feel to donate anything, it would be greatly appreciated.

More important, we would ask for your prayers for Kim and Paul. Kim had her first chemo treatment yesterday and handled it like a trooper. The nurse even came over and said "it’s nice to hear you girls giggling over here in the corner though this. Attitude is so important  at this time"
