Dearest friends and community, Silver Lucy needs our help. Big help, starting immediately.
In September Lucy was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. She is receiving chemotherapy and surgery is scheduled for December. Your love and financial support are critical to Lucy's health.
We are rallying $ resources to ensure her housing, transportation, nutritious food, and assist with medical bills. Lucy is unable to work for 9 + months.

Imagine checking into the hospital thinking you have some form of IBS or other trending gut issue du jour and leaving knowing you have a tumor the size of a grapefruit growing rapidly on your ovary and other parts of your insides....talk about a wake up call...!
Well, it happened.To me.
Never did I fathom something like this could “happen to me,” but it has and here we are now.
After many trips to SF General and having doctors/nurses poking and probing for tests after more tests, I was officially diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in mid September.
Woah. Stop the press, I have a busy life and am happy and healthy and have plans for my future - I don’t have time for this crap!
Life has sent me a curve ball, to say the least...but I’m resilient and have already decided that this is NOT going to take me down - not without a big, old fashion, put-up-yer-dukes, hold-my-earrings-girl FIGHT! And FIGHT is exactly what I’m already doing!
My amazing medical team (cannot say enough good about the care I’m receiving at SFGeneral!) has recommended a plan of action and we’ve already begun the process of chemo and I’ve already felt it working its miracles throughout my body! GiveThanks!
I’m not going to candy-coat how painful and hard this journey is already and will be over the next several months, but I have a whole community of the Absolute BEST Friends in the universe and to witness the LOVE and SUPPORT that has already graced this process is to know PureLove in its most beautiful form - I’m deeply humbled by everyone who’s given so much of their time and hearts to come to my rescue. What an honor to know each of you and call you my FRAMILY!
